I think for people who didn’t grow up in more urban areas, it’s easy to look at a neighborhood like that surrounding SC and call it ghetto/bad. I don’t think most people from the valley or IE can distinguish between the jungles, USC’s neighborhood, and Inglewood. It’s just all ghetto to them. I sure don’t feel unsafe when I work out there compared to being on Coliseum/La Brea or certain intersections in Compton.
